Just because Ana beats JJ does not mean she’s the better player. It’s all about match-up. JJ may not take easy to Ana’s game, but JJ has a better h2h record against players like Venus and Serena than Ana does. You see what I mean? Ana may have a great forehand, but taking everything into consideration (such as FH, BH, serve, movement, defense, etc) JJ is technically the better player. That doesn’t always mean JJ will win though; look at Venus and Clijsters for example.

It doesn’t matter if her ball toss is bad. The placement in some of her serves are still quite good and she can still hit aces. She just does not care about being perfect anymore, which can be a good thing. Hopefully she gets back to No.1 in the world.

Yeah, and there’s a reason: it’s because it’s NOT natural, it isn’t a spontanous gesture but a little confidence-building ritual she must have learned from Bolletieri because she’s too nervous/shy/repressed.
Lots of players have these little contrived, standardized rituals: Kvitova, even Nadal, and quite a few others. It’s a sign of programming.

Ana was so obnoxious in this match. Perhaps Jankovic deserved it, but one shouldn’t yell ADJE as excitedly as she does unless they just won match point after a tough, grueling match.

Ana’s forehand is just magnificent!! Also, being that their both from Serbia, wouldnt you think they would give each other a kiss after their match? It might just be me, but their handshake looked a little cold
